Pembina Active Living offers a wide variety of programs and events throughout the year.

Weekly Classes

PAL offers many types of regular weekly classes/activities – fitness, yoga, pickleball, bowling, painting, writing, biking, golf, Bridge, etc.

There are four programming sessions in each calendar year:

      • Winter: January – March
      • Spring: April – June
      • Summer: July – August
      • Fall: September – December

Members must register for each session and pay the registration fee for weekly classes.

Ongoing Presentations

Take 5
Adult Day program (Mondays 9:30 am – 2:30 pm) exercise, snack, crafts, current events, lunch, speaker presentation or music (PAL Presents). Fee charged, transportation included.

PAL Presents
Mondays 1-2:30pm. We alternate presentations by interesting speakers and musical entertainment.  Everyone welcome, open to the community.

Still Bloomin’ Garden Club
Presentations on gardening topics (last Thursday of the month)

PAL Cares
Volunteer outreach group helps with special events in the community. S.E. Personal Care Home, MB 55+ Games, Siloam Mission, etc. (1st Tuesday of the month)

Technology Tuesday
Presentations on various technology topics. (3rd Tuesday of the month)

Travel Talks
Speakers on travel destinations, tips etc. (4th Tuesday of the month)

Alzheimer Support Group.
Support group for families/caregivers of people with Alzheimer.

Social Opportunities

Tuesdays

      • Men’s Casual Breakfast (every Tuesday 9:00 am) – Smitty’s Restaurant
      • Movie PALS – afternoon movie and dinner at a restaurant (3rd Tuesday of month)

Wednesdays  PAL Café – enjoy coffee, a muffin, and conversation with Pals.
Fridays      Lunch PALS – meet with Pals at various restaurants (2nd & 4th Friday of month)

      • Zing into Spring (March)
      • Annual General Meeting (June)
      • Volunteer Appreciation Day (June)
      • Picnic and Membership Drive (August)
      • Holiday Gathering (December)

Services for Members

Ring and Ride            Members can phone the office to request a volunteer to drive them to a program that the volunteer is attending.
Tablet Library            PAL members can borrow iPad or tablets to practice with.
Diabetes Prevention & Awareness
Walk-in Blood glucose testing, sponsored by Wpg. Chinese Seniors Assoc. (Tuesdays 10 am – noon; Thursdays 1 – 3 pm)
